When Katelyn originally reached out about wedding photography, she talked about how she dreamed of a forest wedding with one long dinner table for everyone to gather around in the woods on her dad’s land. Her vision came together in a truly remarkable way. Their ceremony was tucked in an opening near the trees and the moon sat above Katelyn and Jaden as they committed their lives to one another. Right after the ceremony came to a close, I noticed the perfect rays of sun peeking through the trees, so I snuck them away for a few quick portraits before dinner. The meal was served at the longes table I’ve ever seen in my life – a true labor of love from the bride’s father who built it himself. Friends and family enjoyed a slow meal together under the twinkling lights tucked in the forest, just like Katelyn had dreamed about. After stomachs were full, everyone headed up the hill to the cabin yard where a live band played and everyone enjoyed dessert and dancing under the stars.
