Eloping in NEBRASKA

the good life

They say Nebraska isn’t for everyone.

And they’re right. Nebraska may not scream “elopement” to most people, and that’s ok. It’s not for everyone. But I’ll tell ya who it is for. It’s for the couple who’s willing to go off the beaten path, the couple who loves open night skies and burning sunsets, the couple who has roots in this great state, the couple who loves to make memories on road trips, the couple who feels connected when they explore the great outdoors, the couple who wants something unconventional for their wedding day. Nebraska is for you.

KAYLIE

Hello! I’m a wedding and elopement photographer for couples who love adventure. I’ve heard over and over again from brides and grooms on their big traditional wedding day that they are so glad it’s finally over. My heart sinks every time those words are said. I believe your wedding day should be a true representation of who you are as a couple, and not based on the expectations of others. If you’re ready to take the leap and elope in Nebraska, I’d love to come alongside you, help you plan the adventure, and document your epic love story.

A stress-free day with the flexibility to do what you want

A day focused completely on your relationship

Locations

Yes, there are amazing places in Nebraska to elope!

A great resource for finding unique locations is VisitNebraska.org. You can search areas based on location or by what you’re looking for. Want to camp? Want a river nearby? Nebraska offers a ton of variety and Visit Nebraska can help you narrow down some areas.

You can also visit the Nebraska Game and Parks website for a list of gorgeous parks across the state.

Here are a few of my favorite spots:

Toadstool

Halsey National Forest

Smith Falls

Fort Robinson

Platte River State Park
they have glamping cabins as well!

Chadron State Park

Rowe Sanctuary

Crane Trust

Lewis and Clark State Rec Area

Branched Oak Lake

Eugene T. Mahoney State Park

Lincoln Parks

Omaha Parks

Fontenelle Forest

The Boathouse

Private residences,
if you or someone you know owns land

Keep in mind that each location will have different rules, regulations and fees when it comes to permits. When you work with me, I’m happy to reach out to get permission and permits as needed based on your location.

How to Elope in NE

In the state of Nebraska, you must be married by someone who is ordained (a family member or friend can become ordained online) and have two witnesses. You can read up on more info here:

I love helping my couples get into the nitty gritty of planning their perfect day. From vendor recommendations to location scouting, I’ll help walk you through what you need to know. Heck, I’ll even be one of your witnesses if you need me to be! The beautiful think about eloping is that you can make it as much of or as little as a production as you want.

The focus of the day is on your marriage, not the wedding.

Whether you’re completely on board or still in the beginning stages of considering an elopement, I’d love to send you more info and talk about what options are available!
