Best Places to Stay in Jackson Hole, WY
Jackson Hole has a ton of options when it comes to lodging. From budget-friendly motels to luxury lodges, hotels within walking distance to the Jackson Town Square to secluded stays, there’s truly something for everybody.
Call me vain, but I personally love finding places to stay that are well-designed and aesthetically pleasing. Maybe it’s the wannabe interior designer in me, but I find joy in the details and think a beautiful place to stay elevates the entire trip.
I’ve rounded up my favorite modern hotels in the Jackson area. And don’t worry, I’m not judging these books only by their covers (although having a cool and unique design is a requirement for landing on this list)—these hotels offer incredible amenities and easy access to Grand Teton National Park. Be sure to scroll to the end to view a map with all the hotels pinned so you can get a lay of the land as well as frequently asked questions.

Walking Distance to Downtown Jackson
Mountain Modern Motel
Mountain Modern Motel is one of my go-to stays in Jackson Hole.
I love it for several reasons:
1. It’s affordable.
2. It’s within walking distance to downtown Jackson.
3. It’s got a fun, modern design.
It’s a 2-Star motel, but don’t let that scare you off! This isn’t your ordinary crusty motel you might find right off the ol’ highway. Not only is the bold design cool and modern, but they also offer on-site food options, on-site parking (which having that so close to downtown is clutch – parking in Jackson can be a b), an indoor heated pool + hot tub, a bike repair shop, laundry facilities, and even a salon.

Rustic Log Cabin
Bentwood Inn
The Bentwood Inn does rustic the right way. Jackson Hole has a long list of cabin-style lodging, but the Bentwoon does it in a way that doesn’t feel too cheesy or overdone. Nestled behind a grove of trees and sitting on 4 acres, it feels like you’re staying at a private residence. To add to its charm, the lodge was built with 200-year-old logs from Yellowstone National Park.
They offer a freshly made breakfast each morning, will help you plan a trip itinerary, they are committed to sustainability, and depending on the time of year, they offer bikes and snowshoes for you to take on an adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions About Staying in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Where’s the best place to stay in Jackson Hole for skiing?
For ski-in / ski-out lodging options, Teton Village is the first place to look. It’s right at the base of the mountain and puts you smack dab in the center of world-class skiing.
What’s the difference between Teton Village and Jackson Hole?
Is Teton Village the same as Jackson Hole? This can be super confusing as you’re researching for your stay, but here’s the simple breakdown:
Jackson Hole = the entire valley, which includes the towns of Jackson, Teton Village, Wilson, Moran, etc.
Jackson = the name of the actual town of Jackson. This is where the famous Town Square with the antler arches is.
Teton Village = a smaller ski town, north of Jackson, at the foot of the mountain
Which airlines fly into (JAC) Jackson Hole Airport?
United, American Airlines, SkyWest Airlines, Delta, Alaska Airlines, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic all fly non-stop to Jackson Hole. –via Skyscanner
Fun Fact: JAC is the only commercial airport in the United States that’s located within a National Park!
How many days should you stay in Jackson Hole?
Ultimately, this depends on what types of activities you’d like to indulge in while staying in the Wyoming mountains. 3–4 days should give you time to fit in quite a few activities – 1 day of hiking and wildlife viewing, 1 day of relaxing at your resort and enjoying local shopping and dining, and 1–2 full days of skiing or other adventures like rafting, swimming, horseback riding, hot air balooning, and more.
Does Jackson have a grocery store?
Yes! Whenever I’m in Jackson, one of my first stops is the grocery store. It’s a good idea to stock up on bottled water and packable meals and snacks to take with you into Grand Teton National Park. The park is a bit of a drive, and depending on your adventure for the day, it may not be efficient to drive back and forth from town just to grab a bite to eat.
The main grocery stores in Jackson are:
Albertsons / 105 Buffalo Way, Jackson, WY
Whole Foods / 1155 US-89, Jackson, WY
Smith’s / 1425 US-89, Jackson, WY
What is the best season to visit Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park?
The weather in Wyoming is completely unpredictable and can change on you at any moment. It’s not unusual to have snow in May or even June and the wind… don’t even get me started. When you’re planning a trip to the Tetons, plan based on what activities you’d most like to enjoy while there, and then be flexible! Road closures are common due to bad weather, construction, and certain roads are only accessible during the summer months. You can keep up to date with road conditions on the National Park Service website or by downloading the Wyoming 511 mobile app.
